About Mumbai Chapter

Mumbai is the commercial hub of our country. It is the city that has provided the 'space' for many Indians to find their potential and calling. Over the decades, the predominance of manufacturing based industries have given way to the emergence of strong services based sectors like Financial Services, Advertising, Media & Entertainment,IT & ITES, Retail etc. Mumbai continues to power the nation's wealth creating process and contributes handsomely to the national kitty. Multiple generations of Indian industrialists have transformed the city and their organisation's character and legacy. This include the Tatas, Birlas, Mahindras etc. In recent years, these captains of industry have been joined by the Biyanis, Ruias, Hiranandanis, Rahejaetc.MNC's like HUL, P & G have also contributed to the city's character.

The city is catching up with upgrading its infrastructure- including the metro/mono rail, overbridges, the proposed 2nd airport etc- and we have also seen the emergence of the iconic Bandra- Worli Sea Link Bridge. The 26/11 attack has not dimmed the city's vibrancy and continues to provide hope to the hopeless and an enabling ecosystem for commerce to flourish.
