Judhajit Das

Judhajit started his career in 1995 as a Management Trainee with the RPG Group, a diversified conglomerate, and has worked extensively across multiple businesses spanning manufacturing, telecom, retail and also, in the Group Human Resources function. His last assignment was as Head of HR at Saregama Ltd., a music label formerly known as HMV. In 1999, he joined GE Capital in a generalist HR role with the responsibility for building the HR function of the credit cards business.

Judhajit has led the Human Resources function at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance since 2005, one of India’s largest private sector life insurance company with a presence in over 1700 locations and with over 20,000 employees. Prior to becoming Head of HR, Judhajit headed the Training function including Training for Sales & Distribution and Operations and Customer Service.

As Head of Human Resources, Judhajit has provided leadership for building a scalable HR infrastructure through technology deployment in order to support the growth of the business from 5000 to 20,000 people. He has also worked on HR outsourcing by deploying a Shared Services model and is currently implementing Recruitment Process Outsourcing. He has worked extensively on building the leadership depth of the business and in nurturing the leadership culture through an integrated framework comprising talent management, rewards management and leadership development initiatives. Currently, he is actively working on aligning the organization to the transformation agenda of growth and profitability.

Judhajit graduated in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and is a post graduate in Human Resources from XLRI, Jamshedpur.

Judhajit is married with two sons and lives in Mumbai.
